Who are we?

The Osun State University Medical Students’ Association (OSUMSA) is the unifying body for all medical students at Osun State University, dedicated to representation, empowerment, and excellence.

Known as OSUMSITES, our members embody:

A Community of Scholars – fostering academic and professional growth.
A Voice for Students – protecting members’ rights and welfare.
A Platform for Leadership – building skills in governance and advocacy.

ABOUT US

Our Structure

We are a dynamic student body composed of Grand Patrons and Matrons, Staff Advisers, the Executive Council, the Student Representative Council, various organs and clubs, and the General Congress membership.

The Osun State University Medical Students’ Association (OSUMSA) operates through a dynamic structure that ensures effective leadership, representation, and active student engagement.

Executive Council

The Executive Council is the highest decision-making body, responsible for leadership, administration, and program execution. Key officers include: President, Vice President, General Secretary, Assistant General Secretary, Academic Director, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, PRO, Deputy PRO, Welfare Director, Sports Director, and Social Director.

Student Representative Council

The SRC serves as the legislative arm and voice of the association, made up of five elected representatives from each medical class. It ensures accountability and upholds the interests of all OSUMSITES.

Clubs & Organs

These platforms promote academic excellence, social interaction, and advocacy through groups such as the Journal Club, Health Awareness Club, and Mental Health Club.

Classes

The six medical school classes (100 - 600 level) form the backbone of OSUMSA, fostering unity and collaboration across all levels of training.
